Santiago Garcia published The Masterplan on itch.io on 2026-10-18 at 14:13 UTC. I rechecked the page on 2026-10-27. The category is Adventure. The tags are 3D, Atmospheric, Horror, Indie, Low-poly, Psychological Horror, Retro, Short, Singleplayer, and Story Rich. Horror is a tag, not the category. The blurb puts quotation marks around the word horror: “an atmospheric ‘horror’ experience.”

The only plot sentence on the page is “Home alone for a day, Stuart invites his best friend over.” I will not stretch that into a lore bible. What I can add comes from two places: the Windows zip inspected read-only on the same day, and playthroughs by Midnight Matinee Games and The Demo Daddy. Player metadata in globalgamemanagers identifies Unity 6000.0.73f1 and includes scene paths for Attic, AtticTwo, and Credits. This is the engine version, not a published game patch number.

What I saw in the daytime stretch

Sitting with the videos, the first stretch is a house, not a combat loop. Build strings name PongMinigame, MinigameSong, MathHomework, Pizza, ChocolatePickup, BackpackSequence, and SofaInteractable. On screen I saw a prompt that looks like the C key, and the build contains cKey. Movement in the videos is WASD plus mouse. Esc opens a menu. I did not see a weapon or a difficulty select. Community comments ask for a checkpoint, which is a way of saying the build they played did not offer one.

What stays unknown

  • No official character bios, cast, or music credits. Credits strings include “MADE BY SANTIAGO GARCIA”, “Special Thanks”, and “Pizza-Mateo”. I will not turn those into a staff list.
  • No official system requirements. See the requirements page.
  • No official playtime. See how long to beat.
  • Garcia wrote in comments that this game is not connected to his earlier mask trilogy. The mask is similar. That is his sentence, not a theory of mine.
