How long is The Masterplan?

Santiago Garcia’s itch.io page labels The Masterplan Short, but gives no official minute count. For a reproducible reference, this page uses two public videos whose title, uploader, upload date and duration were rechecked on YouTube on 2026-10-27. Both show the two endings, not a controlled single-ending speedrun. Their video IDs are listed in the source register so you can inspect the samples yourself.

How I would budget an evening

Treat it as a short-session horror game, not as a promise of an exact completion time. These two recordings fit comfortably within an hour, but that observation does not establish an upper limit for a new player. Exploring optional interactions, reading dialogue, getting lost or replaying a choice can all change your session. Video introductions, cuts and ending transitions also make a runtime different from minutes spent controlling Stuart. We have not timed a fresh save or benchmarked an all-endings run.

If you only want one ending, follow the story through the attic choice and stop after its result. If you want both, reserve additional replay time without assuming that only the final room must be repeated. Community comments ask for checkpoints; this guide does not certify that any current build offers one.
