I did not write this as a memory of my own clear. I sat with Midnight Matinee Games’ 21:49 no-commentary video of both endings (uploaded 20 October 2026) and The Demo Daddy’s 33:09 playthrough from the same day, then checked lines that also exist in the Windows build. Santiago Garcia has not posted a walkthrough on itch.io. If a step below is only a timestamp, I call it a timestamp.

Opening

The build’s level0 strings include a joke splash: “ARE YOU READY FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF THE YEAR?” and a button, “YES, SANTIAGO, I'M READY.” After that, Stuart is in the house. The itch.io line is the whole official premise: he is home alone for a day and invites his best friend.

Follow the route with the video

  1. Start the game from the official extracted Windows or Linux download. On the opening screen, continue with the ready button quoted above. The opening house sequence is at 0:00 in the Midnight Matinee video.
  2. Use WASD to move and the mouse to look. Read the interaction prompt on your own build before pressing a key; the C prompt is a documented clue, not a guarantee for every minigame.
  3. Explore Stuart’s daytime house and follow the conversations with Egbert. The documented interactions include Pong, a guitar, food and a telephone. This guide does not require an invented high score or collectible total.
  4. For the Ouija-board sequence, compare your current scene with 5:01 in the embedded Midnight Matinee recording. Video chapter times are reference points, not deadlines that your playthrough must meet.
  5. As the story moves toward the attic, follow the game’s on-screen prompts. The attic chapter begins at 14:47 in that same recording. If your scene differs, compare the picture in the video rather than following an unverified item-order list.
  6. At the final hatch choice, select GO UP or EXIT. Midnight Matinee labels the outcomes at 18:26 and 19:35. The spoiler-folded endings page describes the two directions without declaring either route safe.
  7. Watch the selected outcome. To see the alternative, plan for a replay; do not assume a checkpoint or chapter select. A video showing both outcomes does not establish how much of your own save can be skipped.

While the house is still ordinary

  • Move with WASD and look with the mouse. Interact when the prompt appears; the videos show a C prompt, and the build has cKey.
  • The house offers Pong, a guitar, math homework, pizza, chocolate, a backpack, chairs, light switches, and the phone. I would play the optional bits before the tone shifts. Nothing in the videos gates the story on a perfect Pong score.
  • Egbert is the friend. The build spells the name Egbert. A phone line says “Mrs. Parker.” Another line asks “Is Corky home?” The game never defines Corky, so I will not.

Attic choice

Near the hatch the UI strings are GO UP and EXIT. Lines in the build include “Egbert, where are you?” and “Egbert? What are you doing? Come down.” Pick one and watch the result. Comments ask for a checkpoint, but they do not establish what a later build might add. The two routes are written up on the endings page.
